I was wondering if there is anyway to make modifications to the content-portfolio-item.php without modifying the parent theme?
I'm looking to add a link element to the Porfolio Title element when you hover over it. Right now, you are presented with a paper icon and a share icon. You have to click the paper icon to get to the Single Portfolio element page. I'd like to extend that functionality to the Portfolio Title.
I was able to do it through modifying content-portfolio-item.php in the Parent Theme but would like to avoid making modifications outside of the Child Theme.

It's template just copy it to the child theme with the same folder.
