I’ve installed and tried to set up the Gem theme and a child theme, however it’s not running properly as it requires the newest version of PHP to be installed on the hosting server.
Can you please tell me if it should be 5.6 or 7.0 ?
I recommend you to us 5.6 . I have only tested PHP 7.1 and the adminpanel threw 500 errors since I have installed the required plugins. So the plugins itself aren't compatible with PHP 7.1 (and most likely they aren't with 7.0 either)
