As far as I can judge only normal and bold of the Google font families are installed in most cases, not the whole font family like light, extra bold etc. Montserrat for example only shows normal and bold in the Backend, but Google provides a lot more than these.
Anyway, now since the "File type not permitted" issue is solved, I can install all needed fonts myself. Thanks a lot :)

what is the best way of adding additional Google fonts to TheGem?
I wasn't able to find anything about that in the documentation.
I am currently using the Font Manager. But when I try to upload .ttf or .eot, I get the following error message:
"Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons."

All the google fonts are already added in the theme, if you wish to add your font you can use Fonts Manager. pls. check:
