I'm using the visual composer. what is the easiest way to move elements from one page to another?
Right now I would edit the page in classic mode, copy all the text (I'm not so good at reading html), paste it all in the other page, then go to visual composer and delete all the stuff that I don't want. I'm sure there is a smarter way ; )

The most simple way is to use visual composer templates, pls. check
https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/display/VC/Templates
remove the blocks in the page and leave only which you need, add to template, DON'T save the page, just press f5 to reload the page.
