    Hi There,

So I'm looking at this template http://codex-themes.com/thegem/product-landing/ and I'm comparing the difference in page speed between your site and mine and they are vastly different - see attached.

All I've done is create a WordPress site and loaded your theme, nothing else. I did then install the W3 Total Cache plugin but haven't seen an improvement.

How is that your page speed test gets a decent score but on mine it's far worse? And what else can I do to improve page speed?

    HI!

    We recommend to use:

W3-total  cache plugin, enable page cache browser cache, mini fire of CSS and js.

    https://tah.wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

For optimizing images we recommend to use next services:

    tinypng.com

    jpegmini.com

Or you can download optimized images  from the google, (attach) (pls. note Google optimised  the images can be blurred)

    Hi Gregor,

    Thanks for the prompt reponse.

    1. As I said I am already using the W3-total cache plugin and I am minifying the JS and CSS. But my page speed score is far lower than yours.

    2. All I'm doing is directly comparing the page speed score of the exact same template on your site vs my site. I have not altered or edited it in any way.

So why is my score that much lower?

As I see your speed now is 65, you just need to optimize some images to get the speed more the 70.
