Our client does not like how search results are displaying. We want a simple list, and instead get masonry blocks lacking images. Seems like there should be an easy way to control this? Same as Blog Layout? I can't for the life of me find a setting for any of this. Please advise.

    HI!

Sorry, without the code changes it's not possible. In order to change style of this page you need to edit template:

    /wp-content/themes/thegem/search.php

You can set there default blog style. Example you can see in the:

    /wp-content/themes/thegem/index.php

For the safety updates copy this file to the child theme before the editing.

    Hi Gregor-

Thanks for the input. It's unfortunate that this can't be controlled via Theme Options, as that would certainly be best. I installed the child theme and when activated it wrecks all of our fonts, some colors, and many CSS rules. It appears it was drawing CSS from the child/css/custom.css file. Have no idea where that came from, but even when I comment out all those rules, the site is still a mess, with missing navigation, etc. Gonna need some help here, as we can't afford to chase child theme bugs just to modify this one file. Please advise.

Site: cambridgeculinary.com (currently reverted back to TheGem parent theme)

first screenshot is how the site should look, second is when child theme is active

    Hi !

After you set child theme you just need to resave theme options to apply the styles from the theme options in the custom css file of the child theme.
