    pls. use following css:

    .gem-gallery .gem-gallery-preview-carousel-wrap .gem-gallery-item a:before {
    display:none !important;
}
.gem-gallery-hover-default .gem-gallery-preview-carousel-wrap .gem-gallery-item a:after {
    display:none !important;
}
