Once i add all the required products to my cart and click on checkout i get to the registration page where it only asks for my email id and does not provide a password field. 

Even if i check out as guest and click on the create an account checkbox at the very end of the billing info form it just takes my email id and does not provide a field for password.

So when a user revisits the site and tries to login to his account, he is unable to do so as he has not set a password but it is required to login.

i found what i had done wrong. thanks anyways.
