What I see in the styles.css is very inconsistent.
Please provide me with the standard media queries. Is this theme built on bootstrap perhaps? Can I make use of bootstrap components and widgets? And if so what version of bootstrap? I really hope 4.1.xx

We don't use bootstrap in the theme, we only use default grid. You can see it here:
/mnt/www/thegem-wptheme/wp-content/themes/thegem/css/thegem-grid.css
