Making the import crashes the server. The CPU is stuck at 100% and needs a hard reboot.
I tried to import by clicking the blue Import button on the plugin page. It took 30-40 minutes to complete, when the website froze and my ssh session ended. I had to hard reboot through the Digital Ocean control panel to get the server back to a working state.
After the reboot there are many images in the Media Library, but no imported posts. Looking at the DB there are 370 records in wp_posts of type attachment.
Is it possible to manually import this data? I can run it from the command line.

Sorry, but I can't share these details with you. Besides, there is no ftp server on the box.
Can you give me a list of things to check? I'm confident that I have enough sysadmin experience.
