Defer Parsing of JavaScript & Failed to Load Resource

    Hello,

I am trying to improve my web site's load time and performance score which is currently very poor.

    FAILED TO LOAD RESOURCE:

One error that keeps hanging things up is that the system says" Failed to load resource: the servers responded with a status of 404()" for this image file:  ripples.png

    https://chosen.wpengine.com/w-peace/self-help-images/2016/01/ripples.png

I have checked the source code on the home page and the General > Advanced > custom CSS - and can not find any reference for this image.

I am not currently using this image on the site. It was an image that I was trying out in an earlier design.  I am wondering if it somehow got incorrectly left in some code somewhere. Can you please help me figure out how I can delete where this unused image would be referenced from?

DEFER PARSING of JAVA SCRIPT & REMOVE QUERY STRINGS from STATIC RESOURCE

I am getting very bad scores for the categories Defer parsing of JavaScript and Remove query strings from static resources. ( https://gtmetrix.com/reports/chosenstaging.wpengine.com/tdGI9lhD ) Many of the scripts listed are gem scripts. Do you recommend a way to improve this. I was thinking of adding a plugin called Autoptimize or Hummingbird to see if this would improve it. Do you have any recommendations?

    Thank you so much!

    Jennifer
