    Hello there,

I currently installed gem-cryptocoin theme on my website. The problem I am facing is that when I visit the website my macbook starts overheating & the fans of my laptop start making a big noise, which causes to slow down my laptop. This only happens when I visit this specific website.

When I visit the website with the demo content I have the same problem so it has to do something with the theme https://codex-themes.com/thegem/gem-cryptocoin/

I also asked a couple of other people if they could visit the website just to make sure that it has nothing to do with my laptop, and they all had the same problems: Laptop starts overheating and making noise & slowing down.

With other themes within TheGem I never had this type of problem. I think it has to do with the CPU usage of this theme.

Because of all this problems it makes it impossible for me to work on the website because my whole laptop starts lagging etc.

I really would like to find a solution for this because this theme design is beautiful and I like the revolutions slider design specific.

Could you please let me know a solution?

    Thank you

    Hi,

Seems like the problem in the WebGL animation, try to remove the slider from the page and check.

    Hi,

Unfortunately for WebGL needs a lot or resources. We can't make anything with it...

Hmm I see, so there is no other way around this?

The traffic will be 90% from mobile and only 10% from desktop. Maybe it's a solution to show the WebGL slider on mobile only and on desktop a different slider? Because on mobile there is no problem with overheating.

    Will this be possible?

You can play with the responsive options:

I don't understand, this video is only about resizing the slider etc?

You can hide this layer for the desktop and show for the mobile via the responsive options.

Alright no problem I will do that.

Only just wondering; Do you know why this problem only happens on desktop and not mobile?

Because of the rendering, there much more elements (stars) on the desktop than on mobile.
