Bundled plugin - WP Bakery - not working

Hello, I'm building a landing page in Wordpress. When I purchased The Gem, a plugin for building landing pages called 'WP Bakery' was bundled with it. In Wordpress's plugin page, I can see the 'WPBakery Page Builder' is installed and activated, so it should be working. (It must've gotten installed when I installed the Gem.) So in the 'Pages' tab of Wordpress, I want to edit a page with the WP Bakery front-end. And when I'm building this new page, I can see the page templates that I want to use when I click 'templates' and then 'access library'. However, when I go to download one of the templates, I get an error message that says 'Failed to download template', and no reason why. Can you help me figure out why it's not working? Do you think I need to activate WP Bakery license separately? When going into WP Bakery's support page, it's saying that I don't have any licenses with them. It's also possible that I don't have enough space on my computer to download these templates if they're giant files. Please help? Thanks so much, Cameron

    Hi,

By downloading the WP Bakery own templates, you are trying to access their premium content (it is not our content), which is available only in a standalone license version of WP Bakery plugin. We have included WP Bakery in our theme as a bundled plugin under developer license. This means, that all features and functions are available for usage, except additional template libraries, which are part of the standalone premium WP Bakery license.

Thank you, Gregor. So let me ask this: I purchased a plugin called 'Ultimate Addons for WPBakery Page Builder', and it wasn't working correctly. After speaking to their support, they told me that I needed to have WP Bakery installed & working for the 'Ultimate Addons for WPBakery Page Builder' to function. (WP Bakery is installed and activated, only the extra premium content wasn't available, so in theory, this new plugin should be functioning just fine.) So since the WP Bakery was bundled with the Gem, shouldn't I be able to access the new plugin that I purchased that's dependent on WP Bakery? Or is that a feature/function that I'd only be able to access with WP Bakery's direct license? Also, can you point me in the direction of tutorials on how to build landing pages with Gem? Thanks so much, Cameron

    Hi,

No, everything should work. The only 1 thing which won't work in our plugin - premium templates library. About the one page website, take a look:

Right, ok, thank you. I'm not used to Wordpress, (I usually build on Shopify, Leadpages, and Squarespace), so when I was in there editing the page just like in the video tutorial you sent I just kept searching for more functionality. For example, using those type of premium templates or adding an image background to sections, and then adding the elements and rows on top of that image - do you know if that's doable without having to create any custom CSS? By the way, thank you - you're really clearing things up for me!
