This is related to the Wordpress 5.5 error that causes issues with Slider Revolution.
The existing Slider Revolution modules work for the public facing site and I can edit a preexisting Slider module from within theGem. The issue is that the Slider Revolution Admin wont open so I cannot choose to edit from there or create a new Slider module or get to other submenu items.
When I had Bluehost revert Wordpress to 5.4 it resolved the issue.
I have a ticket with Slider Revolution and I was told: The latest SliderRevolution v6.2.18 is compatible with WP 5.5. But in your case the issue with broken SliderRevolution admin panel is relayed to the TheGem theme.
Can you tell me if there is a line of code that can fix this within the theme? Is there anything I can do to get this to work with WP 5.5?
At the direction of ThemePunch I switched to the default theme and the SliderRevolution admin page works. This seems to isolate theGem theme as the cause of the issue with WP 5.5. Until then I have to revert all of my sites to WP 5.4 and lockdown all updates until this is resolved.
Hi, thank you for reporting. We are aware of this issue because of the deprecated jQuery used in Revolution Slider. We will rollout update today asap. You will need to update the revolution slider to the latest version.
