Localhost environment naming rules
An installation will be considered as a localhost installation in this cases:
a) Domain name is an IP, belonging to localhosts, for example: 127. 0.0.0 – 127.255.255.255 , 10. 0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255, 172. 16.0.0 – 172. 31.255.255, 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255
b) Domain name consists of one word
c) One of the following TLDs is used *.local, *.localhost, *.loc, *.test, *.dev, *.home, *.mamp
Development environment naming rules
An installation will be considered as a development installation in this cases:
a) Domain name is an IP (except IPs, belonging to localhosts, see above)
b) If one of the following subdomains is used: dev.*, staging.*, test.*
c) If one of the following subfolders is used: /development/, /dev/, /staging/, /test/
In all other cases an installation will be considered as a final production website (live website).
