1. I am just starting a new website with TheGem which will be a website with WooComerce. Before I start I would like to create a child theme folder. Do I pick the basic template first and then create the child folder? Or should I create a child folder from thegem folder (elementor pro) and then pick and choose my pages? I am not sure if I am going to being utilizing the gem blocks or starting from a template that is close to what I am wanting to achieve.
2. Is there a plugin that you recommend for installing child themes. I notice some are showing not tested with TheGem. Or, should I put my big girl pants on and try to do this manually:) I am quite a novice and trying to be careful and not add bloat or wreck my site before I begin. I am using Cloudways server and Cloudflare if that helps. I do have Filezilla on my site.
3. Do you recommend using Redis?
Hopefully, I have given you everything you need for an easy answer. Thank you for building such a great project.
You don't need make a child theme manually yourself, you can find it in the archive you downloaded from the theme forest. Take a look to the folder Child_Theme
