about GDPR settings I've noticed that selecting, for example, "Google Maps" as "Active by default" the Google cookies are placed before the user consent.
This is not compliant with GDPR directives, so I think that the right way to fix this shoud be to not set the service "Active by default" and have an "Accept all cookies" button on the cookie banner.
Is this possible or maybe there is another solution?
Furthermore, even cookies marked as "required" should not be placed before the user's consent.
I am not quite sure I understand your request in the correct way. While using GDPR feature in TheGem, if you add Google Maps Consent, it is not added as "active by default", check this screen https://prnt.sc/PQnicwcOTN_T Your website visitor can then activate it in his privacy preferences on your website https://prnt.sc/uhGDI0P8DC5x
thanks for your answer, I will try to explain myself better.
Let's say that I have a Google Map on a page of the site.
1) When the user visit the site for the first time he has not yet given any consent, so the Google Map must not be loaded, then I can't set it as "Active by default".
2) However, when the user clicks on the "I agree" button without having changed any preference, the map must be loaded.
The "preferences" modal window should be used to disable the services that the user does'nt want to load.
I need the Google Map to be loaded, but only after the user clicks on the "I agree" button. Same thing for Google Analytics and Google Fonts
See the issue, pls. wait a bit, will be fixed in the next theme update. Maps shouldn't be working if deactivated: https://screenrec.com/share/kVwPOZguYL
