how to change blog home page using TheGem template builder? i am able to modify post page but not blog page.

Hi, can you please share more details which "blog home page" do you mean? If you mean the blog category pages, so please use Templates Builder -> Archives as described here https://codex-themes.com/thegem/documentation/blog-archives-builder/

Blog home page is where you see a list of blog posts. Not sure if it's blog archives, i have looked into that, but under pages > blog posts, i am not able to use the template builder i created there.

Hi, do you mean for such configuration https://prnt.sc/P-kWqDhVpCKm ? Homepage shows you latest posts, correct? Yes, the layout is controlled via Theme Options -> Archive Pages https://prnt.sc/1jBBQWxkWkJc
