I am having yet another conflict with Gravity forms. I have been in contact with the engineers at Gravity forms and they have informed me that something in the Gem theme is causing a problem with Gravity Forms and the database which is rendering our forms almost useless - we cannot make any revisions, nothing saves correctly and the database is getting corrupted.
From Gravity forms:
Hello! The form export provided shows that an invalid notification and an invalid confirmation are being included in the form object – https://share.gravityfor.ms/i/Wy3BVZ. Note from that screenshot how integers having been inserted in the notifications and confirmations array. I expect this may be interfering with the updating of the form. When duplicating (or importing) the form, that invalid data may be stripped so as to "fix" the newly created form.
your site uses a large number of third-party plugins, which may also be causing this problem. To find out the exact cause of the problem, disable the third-party plugins for a while and see if the problem occurs again. If the problem is indeed in the TheGem theme, we will definitely help you out. Or temporarily activate the default theme and check if everything works correctly.
the majority of the plugins on this site are gravity forms and their extensions.
I could easily move the plugins to the functions.php file but really appreciate the ease of updating.
I have checked for a plug-in conflict - nothing that resolves the problem.
The Gem and this horrific page builder spit out shortcodes when the theme is changed, - no content.
I had a different problem a little more than a week ago and have moved some of our forms to a sub directory - after almost two weeks waiting for the Gem support I was asked to try turning off Lazy Loading. That was the extent of the “support” we received.
I had to move our booking program to a different web site to avoid all the php conflicts with this theme and page builder.
Moving all functions off the site should NOT be necessary, but until these conflicts are resolved, it seems to be the only way for this company and its website to be able to exist!
I would appreciate any assistance you can provide to resolve the issue and will keep you parsed of Gravity Forms progress.
The problem is that integers are being inserted into the forms, this has corrupted the database. The forms are doing their job as is but cannot be modified or changed in any way. When a change is made, the form refuses to save. GF has identified the problem as the insertion of these integers. They are not coming from the forms.
I have other sites but none with this theme. I had some major issues back around 2010 into 2011 with wpbakery plug-in, back when it was called visual builder (or composer). Several of my sites were taken over by hackers due to the massive vulnerabilities associated with the page builder. I inherited this Viking site, have struggled with it for a couple years now, and it has just been one problem after another including massive security attacks, a couple successful hacks, and this constant stream of conflicts. So, no - I do not have another site with this theme that you can use as a test site.
I'm interested in how I can physically verify that the plugin is not working? You wrote that the forms are not being saved. Could you please provide a specific example?
a specific example - when a form or a form field is modified or “edited”, the change must be saved to the form to complete the change. The form will not save.
GF has investigated and found that the theme is inserting integers into the form, preventing the form from saving.
I sent a copy of this in my first email asking for assistance.

What is the problem with Gravity Forms at the moment? Please give a specific example.
Also, do you have a test site that we could run some tests on?
We will try to resolve this problem as soon as possible.
We may also need FTP access to your site.

I sent FTP credentials earlier in September.
Please advise.
