Hi, I created a copy of the main website vidafertility.com to accomplish a general update of the website. Everything is working fine but I don't know why the footer is missing even if it exists as a template and the template is selected in the theme options.

Can you help me to solve this please?

    Thanks,

    Monica

    Hi,

The problem was in the child theme. I activated the parent theme and everything works correctly.

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for your quick answer.

Does it mean that we can not use a child theme? because in the mail domain vidafertility.com they are using that child theme already and the footer is working fine.

    Thanks

You can use a child theme, but you need to make the correct changes to the files you overwrote in it.

    Hi Michael,

I copied the files used in the main domain, now they all are the same in both websites but still the footer is missing.

I'm not quite sure what you copied all those files into your child theme for?

Only those files you want to make changes to should be copied to the child theme.

  • Mónica replied

I copied the files used in the child theme in vidafertility.com into the child theme in prueba.vidafertility.com, that way I have exactly the same changes in the same files in both child themes but the footer is still missing.

So you did something wrong on your test site, if the same child theme works correctly on the main site. Check what versions of the theme and plugins you are using.

Sorry, we can't check all the files of your child theme as it would take a lot of time.
