It looks like you are installing the wrong theme version. TheGem comes in two versions: 

- TheGem Elementor

- TheGem WPBakery 

Kindly login to your Envato account and in the "Downloads" section please download "All files and documentation". After that unzip this downloaded file - here you will find two theme versions: 

- TheGem_WPBakery.zip

- TheGem_Elementor.zip

Please remove your currently installed Elementor version (and its plugins) and install TheGem_WPBakery.zip
