Or is there any possibility to display a .pdf within any regular page ?
I mean, is there any THEGEM-component able to display the .pdf within the page-layout ? - as a little thumbnail next to the link, or… - as the entire document to read in some sort of bigger iFrame ?
You can use a plugin like PDF Embedder to display PDFs directly on your page, or Download Monitor to create downloadable links with icons. Both are simple and flexible for managing press releases.
Alternatively, you can use a File Icon widget to link to the PDF file for easy downloads.

Any browser can display pdf files. Just upload the file to the server and provide a link to it.

I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Could you give me an example on a real site?
