I created the site in a directory and then transferred/migrated it.
After migrating it the site appears to have 'broken' in part e.g. the logo has reverted to The Gem logo, the Slider is not as it should be, the footer is wrong.
I swapped out the Site/Wordpress Address in Dashboard>General settings and I had deleted such things as The Gem logo in the Media Library prior to the migration so I'm not sure why it's pulling in the dummy content again.
If they had done everything correctly, everything would have worked the same as on your old site. So contact your hosting support so that they can transfer your site correctly.
If the theme works correctly on the old site, why should it stop working on the other site if everything is migrated correctly? This is not a theme problem, if everything is migrated correctly, the site will display exactly the same as the old site.
I have one piece of advice for you, do the site migration yourself.
thank you Michael, that would be great if you can - have you got the log in details you need and able to overwrite what is at http://mastyouthcharity.com/
Hi

I built the site in this directory https://sievingnectar.com/mast/ and if you compare it to where it is now https://mastyouthcharity.com/ you'll see the differences.
I swapped out the Site/Wordpress Address in Dashboard>General settings and I had deleted such things as The Gem logo in the Media Library prior to the migration so I'm not sure why it's pulling in the dummy content again.
Would you be able to advise?
thanks
Steve
Hi,
How exactly did the website transfer process take place?
hi Michael
The migration was completed by my hosting providers (support) so I’m not quite sure how they do it.
I asked them to migrate from the directory where I built it to the new account
thanks

Hi Michael
I did contact them and they said contact the theme developer.
I don’t understand why (for example) it is pulling in The Gem logo when in the site I created I put in the client’s logo.
We transfer installations every day, and there are never any problems if everything is done correctly.
Hi Michael
I know, it’s usually a very straightforward process isn’t it so I don’t know why the theme is calling/linking up the wrong things
would you be able to help as I really need to get the site live for the client?
How can I help you in this situation? Your site is broken and transferred incorrectly.
Try to transfer the site yourself. If you don't know how to do this, I can provide you with instructions.
Hi Michael
I was hoping you may have a better knowledge than me and see what may be wrong - do you think it could just be update URLs
I’m caught between my hosting providers saying it’s a broken theme/theme developers issue and you saying it’s the way the host as migrated the files.
I thought one of you may have a bit more insight

( the original/correct site is at https://sievingnectar.com/mast/ and has the same log in details)
Hi Michael, I went back to my hosts and I don’t know what they’ve done but I think it’s fixed now 👍
