Hi, as I can see, you are trying to select categories whose names contain a specific word. In the category widget, you see the correct selection of categories with this word in their names; however, in the WordPress admin, if you search for categories using this word, you get not only the categories whose names contain it, but also categories that contain this word in their slugs. In short: when searching for categories in the category widget, please use the category names (not their slugs).
