    Hello  I'm a WordPress Developer.
    My client has purchased your Scalia theme. I'm Currently using the scalia default child theme. I need to add a new social option for "Instegram". . .
    Can you explain what needs to be done in order to extend the current options ?

    Hi thank you for the quick replay.
    I'm aware of the article that you have mentioned.
    But I need my client to have an input field on the "scalia options page" for Instagram as well and not hard-coded via code (he is not a developer and needs a UI to control it).  Check the image I uploaded on the init response.

    I have PHP, HTML, CSS skills so there is no problem for me to extend it via a child theme.
    If I alter the "options.php" file of the parent theme then it works as expected. I don't want to make modifications to the parent theme!! This is why I'm using my own child theme. is it possible to extend it via a child theme.

    Sorry, It's not possible. 

    You'll can't add any field with filter or action to theme settings from the child theme.

    How can you do this without a Child Theme? The method Yaron mentions where you can add a new field to type in the URL for new Social icons?
