    Hi, just updated the plugin of visual composer and thegem and the site is crashed down!!!

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare vc_iconpicker_type_material() (previously declared in /home/truccmsd/public_html/travelto5.com/wp-content/plugins/thegem-elements/inc/add_vc_icon_fonts.php:373) in /home/truccmsd/public_html/travelto5.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/params/iconpicker/iconpicker.php on line 2875

    Any ideas on how to solve this?

    Didn't have a backup of the plugins so this is what I did:

    1. Manually re-install the theme via FTP just in case (last version on themeforest --> I wasn't notified by email there was a new one)

    2. Disable all plugins related with the issue (thegem elements and vc) via FT by changing the names of the folders

    3. Disable all plugins that delivered a problem message until the site was visible (with some errors) again

    4. Reinstall the plugins via the plugins recommendations page under TheGem Theme Options

    5. Customize everything again

    5. Delete the files unused

    Now the site is working (at the moment) with some minor errors

    Hope this helps

    Sounds good. I'm going to wait a little while and see if the developers have a quicker option (I'm working on a rather large company site, so customizing all over again would be a major headache!)

    @Eco_relics

    Patience is not my thing :D

    Just in case: Customizing is taking not as long as expected. Major customizations went live just by clicking save on the configuration panel (even some custom css)

    Some things didn't do that, as expected, like an image on the footer widgets, but it's an easy thing to see and fix.

    Well, I did it and now I have my dashboard back. Uploaded the Theme again, and when I try to preview it I get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function thegem_slideshow_block() in /home/ab1822/public_html/ecorelics/wp-content/themes/thegem/content-page.php on line 47

    Any thoughts?

    Had the same thing happened to me. Here is how I resolved it without reinstalling my theme.

    Have a child theme so removed that server side. Renamed plug in sold.  made new plugins folder. That should be enough to get the dashboard going. Then I installed all plugins via plugin manager. Also moved the none gem theme plugins to main plugins folder and deleted plug in old Hope this helps somebody

    Meant to say I renamed plugins folder on server to plugins_old.

    Updatet PlugIns and site crashed down.

    And now?

    @johnnerpb

    thx, your solution worked fine. I just add a new plugin folder and renamed the old one before to _old

    Than i installed all plugins new and the site worked.
