Trying to update theme now... but how do we prevent a plugin from crashing our entire site in the future?
I just did a full theme replace via FTP and the problem is NOT fixed. Please help. My site is at a dev URL at http://vps11068.inmotionhosting.com/~mobilia/ - the entire site is still down. This was caused after updating visual composer. I assumed updating to the latest version of thegem theme would be the fix... it was not.
I may have fixed problem by using FTP to delete thegem-elements plugin folder. Then I used the wordpress panel to reinstall it. Does this sound like a working solution?

You just need to update TheGem elements plugin. We uploaded new version a week ago.
